I ran into a guy a few months ago in my town that was driving a '55.1, just like mine. His was unrestored and really sweet with the original paint. He found it upstate NY in a barn on a dairy farm and bought it about 15 years ago.

His truck had a chrome cowl vent assembly, chrome front grill and chrome bumper splash pan and they looked to be original pieces as the chrome was well worn. Maybe that was an option back then???
