Have a '78 c10 'three on the tree' and the only issue I have is the linkage locks up. Requires long screwdriver under hood to fix every now and then. (Too often!) Does anyone know what can be done to tune-up or parts replace to make this work like it should? Shift lever on column is loose or lim but that does not seem to be related to the jam-up that happens under the hood. What have you tried to fix this? From all I've talked to this is not an uncommon problem. Are there NEW parts available to fix this? If so Where?? Thanks
hi, mines doing the same thing, the only thing i do to stop it from locking up is to pull the shifter towards you when coming out of first, mine does all the time if you dont pull it towards you, ive been trying to find a way to fix it and have been unsuccessful, if i find anything out ill post it
