Hey guys, I ordered the 3 point seatbelt from chevy duty, they came with all the hardware and the good stuff. But no instructions, well it came with a little yellow tag but I would have been better off without any at all :) . Has anyone ordered these seatbelts for themselve, cuz I would like to keep myself inside the cab not thru the windsheild in case of an accident. :7 Please send pics if you can.

    Hey,

Just got through installing the bits and pieces for 3-points for my 65. I'll take pictures tonight and get them to you in the next day or so. The seats are out so you can see where i put the mounting holes, etc. Not sure if they're exactly the same as the Chevy Duty belts, but it might help.

    Biggy,

I updated my photos at http://community.webshots.com/user/65k10

It's in the seat belts photo album. Hope the pictures help. I'm no engineer so I can't vouch for the safety of what I did. I'm afraid my instructions that I received weren't all that clear either. Several of the holes were clearly 1/2 inch but 7/16 bolts were provided. I used 1/2 inch Grade 8 bolts and lock nuts wherever it seemed like a better fit. I did use Grade 8 hardware throughout and all backing plates were welded in. One piece of advice I can give is that when you drill large holes (half inch or so) in the floor or cab corner, use a unibit or step bit. It's a bit that starts out at 1/8 inch and keeps getting progressivly bigger. Makes nice clean holes. I got my belts at Julians.com because I needed stiff arms to keep the buckle up by my bucket seats. Chevy Duty may have those kind now.

    Good luck!
