Thought id share/brag a little! The other day i spoted a chrome rear bumper for sale on a local classified site. Well he was/ is trying to sell like 100 bumpers from the 40s,50, and little in the 60s. Well he is selling them for $25 each but you have to take the whole lot of 100. But when i was looking at the pics he had 3 that were not in the big pile. And guess what one was a 60-66 rear chrome bumper. So i called to see if by chance he would sell me just the one i wanted since it was not in the big pile of bumpers. He did i got it for $125 and as far as i can tell its original gm never been mounted?? Has no marks around mounting holes! It does have a few scuffs and scrapes but i could not bet the price! :D Any way heres the pics. Im making my own bracket cause im not goin to spend $90 for some brackets that look like thin pieces of stamped metal?

Ps looks like im going to have to cleanthe paint off tail light bezels so they will match. I dint scuff them before o painted so should be easy!

OK, crazy idea... I wonder how that bumper would look if you put it on the front of your truck, maybe even upside down?

You know, the GMC grill kind of swings up, and so does the bumper...

I only mention this because I can't leave stuff well enough alone, and I know in other threads you have mentioned you'de like chrome trim on your truck.

Yeah, what do you expect a guy that painted his truck with a roller to say.:p

Interesting thought? But i have a local guy that has a chrome front bumper im going to buy and its original gm also! And i got a line on some cab trim. The guy has both the one that says custom and the one with the bowtie. But since mines a gmc i figured the one that say custom would be better. Lol

Thanks guys! And yesterday i got the front chrome bumper from a guy in town! Yeah!! Got it put on today but didnt have enough bolts to put outside brackets on so after work went and got the bolts. But i had to help out with our county fair so had no time to put them in. Anyway the front one is straight but not in as good of shape as the rear but it good for a driver and one day i may be able to send it off for rechoming? But for now its good. Now i think im goin to paint my grill silver so it all looks better. Just dont look right black. Lol.
