Chrome Siding that says "Custom"

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Oct-08-02 AT 08:27 AM (CST)]Anyone know why the rear cab chrome piece that says "Custom" is so hard to find? Mine are ok and I will probably do something to them to make them look better. Any ideas on how to do that other than taking a steady hand and repainting the small black lines and the "Custom" back in? Most if any I've found at salvage yards are worse off than the ones I have. I just noticed that no one (Chevyduty/#####/#####, etc.)offers them? Pic below...

I don't believe they make them anymore, try to clean them up with a metal cleaner called Mothers. It brought my back nicely. Also, you could have them plated. It can get expensive though, so check around for prices. As for the black stripes and Custom, use tape and paint in between. You can take it to a sign store and they can do the custom part. Good luck.
