you have the basic wheel, you would have to get a deluxe wheel to use the deluxe horn ring

:)Hey thanks Morton,i will send him a mail directly, also with the question if he has a steering wheel because Joe231 said " you have the basic wheel, you would have to get a deluxe wheel to use the deluxe horn ring ".
I did not know this....whats the difference ? Our host sells a steering wheel and i have seen alot on the internet but they don't speek of a difference if you have a horn ring.

the one with a horn ring is the wheel that came with the custom cab option, where the one you have is from the basic model. You should be able to find a complete deluxe wheel for under $200, maybe much less, just depends on the condition. Tony, who 283 man mentioned, had several awhile back for various prices, just email him

Morton, how much longer before you get your '63 from Tony?

    Tim, what can I say.....lol

you can also get a really cool looped ring "ring follows the lower contour of the steering wheel" of the nova II's. they snap right on. thats what i have on mine. sorry about the very old picture.

I believe the '66 Custom Cabs used the '62-'65 Chevy II/Nova steering wheel - the basic truck steering wheel does look very similar to Chevy II wheel. Here is a photo of my '63 Chev II steering wheel:

The pre-'66 Custom Cab trucks I think used the 59-60 El Camino, '61-'62 Biscayne steering wheel and horn ring. Here's a photo of the steering wheel from my '63 Custom Cab:
