My son is working on his moms pickup truck . After having the brake calliper removed on both sides he noticed there WHAs a lot of rust there on the outside wich had to be removed. Then he made a mixture of salt acid 30 procent with water in a plastic container and let it do its work fore 2 days , after 2 days all rust is gone and no sandblasting is needed here , repainted them in Brembo red , bought a rep.set and there nice and shiny again and ready for install. Buying these calliper new would cost much more then using the time and efford .

!! Beware ; Its posseble to use the mixture on steel and cast iron but not on soft metals like alluminum or titatinium.

!!! Use allways protection wear (hands , eyes and body).

    School days and chemics subdjects

    Evan

One of the reasons i remember the formulas to day is that the teacher clamed we had to punch them in our heads day after day after day. I went so tired from it.
One day this nobel man should show us his scills with chemics and allmost burned down the desk he whas working on and his clothing to by mixing water and the dry variety of this stuff wich became very explosive. He used far to much water. But the kids in the classroom liked to watch that firework i`ll bet you :D:D

Chemics is in fact allways around us as we are in the old yunk buisness with our ADs all of us here.

    Martinius.
