clearance issues solved

    Ok Men I finally got the 55-57 265 manifolds. Slid out of work early today to help my son shoe horn it in. I had to do some modifications to the CPP cross member mount to get it in. I had to thin the bracket all the way down to the pipe,so I could raise the engine as high as possible.. yet still clearing the floor pan/fire wall.[​IMG]
    Sorry about the crappy cell phone pic,that was all I had handy.. I have about 3/8 of an inch clearance..

    Heat shield

    I'fn i was you i would make up a stainless heat shield to deflect some of that serious heat you will be putting into your steering box there buddy, you will probs find your box tightening up pretty quick due to grease hardening up and the heat on the bushes!
