Leon, when they left the factory, the exhaust manifold was painted the same color as the engine. They would paint the entire engine as a unit. As far as I know, the starter, generator, pulley, coil, and air cleaner were black.

The oil filter could be any color or color combination depending on what brand of oil filter you put on the truck. AC had 2 color schemes, yellow base with black top or blue with orange top. Fram had orange base with black top.

It's all a matter of personal taste, and as we've said before, "you're paying the bills, do it the way YOU want to!"

Hope that helps. Here's a pic of one the the oil filter options that you have available.

Ron, we've got a saying here in the south called "Deer in the headlights". Not knowing where you're from, this might need additional explanation. When your headlights hit a deer, it freezes in place, not knowing what to do! When I read your question today, I got the "deer in the headlights" look on my face.

There are a gazillion combinations of motors and oil filters out there and there is no defined length of oil filter line associated with each application. I slapped that oil filter on my truck back in Oct of last year and never even thought about how long the inlet or outlet lines were. The truck is not geophaphically convenient to me right now, or I'd go measure them for you.

IIRC, they weren't very long. For some reason I think one was 13" and the other was 15". Maybe someone else will chime in.
