I have a 9 foot 65 step side rated at 1 ton. It has single 8 lug tires in the back that I wish to convert to duallys. The lugs are too short but I notice a 1 inch spacer on the drums. Could this be reomoved to provide room for the dual tires? Am I barking up the wrong tree.. should I just get another rear end?
