Can I convert a 1972 GMC swb stepside into a flareside bed? I was going to buy a used flareside bed for my stepside. Can this conversion be possible without converting anything on the frame? Replies would be appreciated. Thank you.
Stepside convertion Yes you can convert that stepside to a fleetside. You will need to change your bed cross sills, and get a new front bed panel and tailgate, and you should be pretty welll set. You shouldn't need to change anything on the frame. Well, you will need new fleetside rear bumper brackets but thats about it. Good luck with your conversion!
