courtesy lamp door jamb switch location?

Ok, my next 70 chev C20 question: What is the proper location for the courtesy lamp door jamb switch? My old C20 doesn't have them currently but I'd like to put them in - anyone know what the original location is? Pix help.

If you open your door and look at the post side you should see a flat raised area about the middle of the door. that is where the switch would be located at.

my 69 c/10 doesn,t have one , can i put one in the door post?
