Those look like pics of the "bell housing" crossmember found on manual shift trucks.

The crossmember for the e-brake is found just behind the tailshaft of the trans. It runs across to the upper rails of the frame.

That crossmember dosn't do a thing for thr e-brake. Sorry Buddy.

    Val

If you can lay your hands on a factory service manual you will find the e-brake stuff, with pictures !!!

Thats What I Thought Too, This Crossmember Does Hold The Bell Housing Of The Old Sm420 That I Took Out. Ill Take Another Look Under The Truck To See If Theres Something Else That I Should Be Seeing. There Is A Bracket Thats Riveted On To The Inside Of The Driver Side Frame, Just About Under The Floorboard, That The Ebrake Cable Goes Throu. It Sticks Out About 6 To 8 Inches From The Frame Were It Mounts With A Hole For The Ebrake Cable To Pass Throu. That Isnt What Your Talking About Is It? Ill also look for a manual like you suggested.

Thanks Again For Your Help Mr V.

Dude,, you REALLY need a Service manual !! ;)

No, that thingie, was used to hold the cable in place befor it attached to a fulcrum thingie that was mounted on the brace in question.

p.s. Starting to plan the street rod events this year. We might be headed your way. Goodguys event in Wash, 32 event in Vancouver, and a 3 dayer in Fortuna Ca. Any chance of us crossing paths ?
