Hello all,
I have a friend who has just purchased a nice set of original gauges for his 65 Chevrolet pickup to replace the "idiot light" style that came standard with the pickup. The gauge set that he purchased is the needle gauge style and also has a tachometer on it, which is original also. He has a wiring harness for it, but he is needing to know what all he is going to have to change out in order to install the gauge set. I am assuming that the temperature and oil pressure sender units will have to replaced with the correct ones for the needle style gauges instead of the "idiot lights" which he currently has. What I was unclear about is will he have to change out his fuse block or any other electrical components in order to install this set. Does anyone out there have any ideas or have done this before? Any help would be much appreciated. he does not have a PC and access to the internet, so I am the messenger and deliverer of the information to him.
Thanks again to you all and hope to hear from you soon.
