Can someone please tell how hard it is to remove and install a replacement dash pad in my 1987 GMC Pick-up. Has anyone bought one of aftermarket replacement pads. How are they?

simple to remove... Remove Gauge bezel, remove 4 screws under dash pad above the glovebox, there are slide in clips on the back so just pull the dash straight back and out, Most of those replacement dashes are very nice, or for a cheaper fix you can get plastic dash covers that you glue and paint over the original and they look not too bad as well.

    Thanks for the help

Heavy86Chevy: Thanks for the helpful information. I've got an 87 GMC Short bed 4X4 that I am rebuilding. I've finished the body, I hope the interior is not too bad. I'm sure I will have more questions as I go. Thanks again
