I pulled the cover of the diff and resealed it on the weekend,, all good and some nice new oil in there too. what I did notice was there is a dit of backlash in the diff... also there is an adjusting bold on the side of the pinion shaft.. does this bolt adjustment change the backlash or something else?? cheers Paul
Some play is normal ~ as long as it's silent , DON'T MESS WITH IT !! . I touched one when I was young and had to learn how to rebuild them.... Involved , messy work .
