    Has anyone ever installed a Dakota Digital dash? If so how easy, I am going to get one for my truck. I'd like to know how long it usually takes and on a scale from 1-10 1 being easiest and 10 being hardest

    Hi Mike,

    I've not done it myself but know about it.

    There are two situations;
    1) Truck has a name brand rewire kit. (Painless, Ron Francis etc)
    Vehicles with the rewire kits need only order the electrical harness from the kit's manufacturer. degree of difficulty = 1. It's pretty much plug and go.
    2) Original Factory wiring. On this one I'd give Dakota a call and ask for pre-sales tech support. I suspect it may require a change in sending units, etc... But call and ask.

    if n ot they should be able to tell you where you can get them. good luck on your project.

    I have an original spare that's missing the bezel for '65 if you want to skip the digital and go semi original. It should be the same if I'm not mistaken. let me know and I'll dig it out of the garage and make you a deal.
