While i was putting a new cap, rotor, and wires on my truck one of the clips that holds the cap on snaped. I went a couple local parts stores and all the guys could say was good luck. Does anyone have any that i could buy from them or know of a place that i could get these at. The motor in the truck is a 54' 235. Thanks in advance, Justin
Justin, I looked through the catalogs that I have, thinking that this would be an ez fix for you. I came up with a big, fat goose-egg. You might try calling 2 vendors that I know deal in off the wall, hard to find stuff. Chevs of the 40s (800-999-2438) and Obsolete Chevy Parts (800-248-8785). They often have stuff that they don't advertise in their catalogs because they are not a high volume part. You might also try your local NAPA jobber, or try their website. Good hunting, my friend!
There You Go ! Ask and ye shall receive . This happened to me a couple years ago , I went crazy trying to find this once common item . All 216 , 235 & 261 Dizzy's use the same clips as do many others , it's a swap meet / junkyard kinda part . It looks like you're covered , if not post again ans someone will find you one , maybe even me
ive tried jsut about every auto parts store i could find in the phone book and was only able to come up with one. went to a car show/swap meet this weekend and had no luck there either. im still trying to find one more.
If Even doesn't have them, I have an extra dizzy laying around in my junk box that I can scavenge a clip off for you. Let me know by PM if you are interested Andy
