Buick 1948 not a Dodge. The car that we never could get ! I just wanted to show that car design from 1948 could be beautifull , the car looks futuristic and have smooth curves.
Re:Not A Dodge If this is indeed a concept car, I'd guess it was a GM, possibly a Buick. Looks more like a homebrew vehicle to me.
Dodge FlatHeads Later than that Bill ~ I used to work on a 1967 Military Surplus Power Wagon with a flat 6 and in high school my buddy's father had a 1962 D100 with flathead , the only one I can recall ever seeing with a flattie . Back to this cool concept car , the grille looks to me like Buick but I was referring to the OHV engine and the construction details , clearly it wasn't built in the 1940's ~ Russ can prolly explain this part better than I . I dig it and will cheerfully run the wheels off it , given the chance . .
The sharp eye tells me you guys are right ! After some further investigation i have discovered that it infact is a 1948 Buick base but restaured to what it once whas a concept car that never whas sold to anyone. This is some of the text that mentions the car; This classic Buick Streamliner is in pristine condition, restored by Dave Crouse for the 2010 Concours d’Elegance.* Its original construction took over two years, built with an aluminum body around a steel chassis.* Not only is it unlikely you’ll ever see this beauty on the road, it’s likely that you’ll never see it on the auction block.* A car like this is far too rare, too beautiful that any owner could ever want to pass it up– no matter the price. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYE6Yw7jk-I&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8dHSZh3AZk http://www.supercars.net/cars/4688.html Thank you.
