There is a thread on the HAMB in the AD thread about the metal framed that go around the 47-51 door glass. but not much has been said. i too will be replacing my door glass. since i work in the glass indusrty ill just get some glass cut and want to know if i can re-use the frame.
Early Door Glass Yes you can . However , there's a " Barrel Nut " holding the bottom of the frame on and it's tricky to get loose and back on again . My local Glass Shop had no difficulty with it , I sure did .
I reused the frames on the 50 I built. Clean them up good and give em a good coat of epoxy paint and they'll shine for the life of the truck.
