Door Handle Removal and Replacement

In the process of replacing door handles on 86 Chevy PU. Can not figure out how to disconnect the rod from the handle button mechanism to the latch mechanism, so that I can get the handle off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I can't help. The only thing I can suggest is picking up the 86 Factory Service Manual. It will solve this and future problems like it.
