    Good luck with your project.
Sad to say we had to give up on our project 53 3100...
But good news, my son bought it and will trailer it form S. TX
to AZ as a project for his 7 year old son....Life is gooood..

    Drag Link Dust Seal

Some years had a thin sheet metal cover that didn't do much .

I use a bit of old inner tube , cut oval in shape with a hole in the middle for the ball to poke through .

Remember : you're supposed to grease these old rigs monthly , then wipe off the mess to avoid the usual 2" buildup of old grease and dirt .
