Drive shaft support possable on a 1950 1/2 ton truck?

    Is it possable to give the drive Shaft on a 1950 1/2 ton truck any outher support with a bearing? I noticed that classic Parts of Am. is selling Driveshaft Support Bearings for trucks , 1/2 t. 54 -and for later models named T1 and T2.

    Why ?

    It is ridgedly supported at each end so any other support or bearing is unessesary .
