I have a 1986 c10 long box with a 2 piece driveshaft and hanger bearing 70" long.
I have a 1986 suberban for parts with a one piece driveshaft that is 68.5" long.
Can or should I loose the hanger bearing and 2 piece driveshaft that is in need of all new universals, and use one piece driveshaft .
would it work?
would it be better with no hanger bearing?

No they have different wheelbases as you can see from the lengths, it might work but a two piece drive shaft is better anyway. If you have a vice it is a pretty simple job to replace the u joints, just make sure to get the higher quality ones and greasable too. Check out your carrier bearing while your at it because the rubber is usually bad by now.
