I found following site but i don't know what's the best parts for my 235 engine http://www.speedwaymotors.com/216-235-261-Chevy-6-Headers,5863.html?parentDisplayId=6902 Volker
Sence the 235 is not in your truck, remove the manifold and send it to be split. They take the original and fix an extra exaust outlet at the end or close to the firewall of the cab. This may cost more than a pair of headers. Nate said the split manifold is best for non-racing. I have only had original and the split manifold. The split works nice & sounds good.
What about the warm air riser? I bought these headers that Volker is interested in, I haven't installed them yet. I also have a fenton dual carb set-up. I was looking at the intake manifold and it has the cast box on the bottom for the warm air return. Do I need the warm air return? Should it just be closed with a plate or left open? Flashlight
Warming your intake You are going to need something to warm up your intake or you'll have stumbling problems at low rpms (like me), especially in cold weather. I've tried warming from headers and it doesn't work very well. Tom Langdon recommends running hot water in there from your cooling system, but I haven't tried it yet. Block off plates are available with fittings. Bob
Dual Exhaust When you have your old cast iron exhaust manifold done , ask the guy to leave in thwe heat riser flapper and not add a restrictor ~ this way it'll breathe better and still have the quick warm up like the 1954 Corvette did , no stumbles nor flat spots .
