has any body installed new ebrake cables? i removed the old cables and with the new ones i got from classic parts they have a ring on the cable that is made of steel that is not as long as the originals i think the ring fits in the holding arm If any body knows how to ajust them let me know they came with two nuts for each cable i put them on the threaded end of the cable. If any body has instructions or link it would be greatly appreciated.

Too short ? mayhap you have receined the wrong ones , '37 ~ '50 is Huck brakes and '51 ~ '67 is Bendix brakes (vastly superior) , often the brakes have been swapeed over the years....

I know there's a few places that make custom cables if you mail them your old one , I don't know the names of such places but they do exxist .

I usually taatch the threaded end a couple turns first to slightly tension the cable so the return spring doesn't pop it off the park brake arm...

Working it through the backing plate is an act of patience unless you do it regularly , don't worry , just take your time at it , when you have it all lined up Just So , it'll slip to-gether easily .
