hey all..... just came in from the shop and i am putting a 79 350 engine in a 87 chevy truck complete with throttle body injection, i put a holley injection manifold on the engine and my question is that i know it will set a light but what will it do to performance? I have taken egr valves off other applications but im concerned about this one..... anybody crossed this road i would like some advise. the okie64
My 87 TBI is still mostly stock. I removed the vacuum line from the egr to the egr solenoid and plugged the inlet on the solenoid. Haven't noticed much difference in how it runs.
There was a very detailed article discussing the EGR valve writen by Jeff Smith in the May 2003 issue of Chevy High Performance. I hope this will help you.
