    my 75 chev will all of a sudden lose all power sometimes. i mean not just die. but everything. i have no lights, radio or cb. any ideas. i think its the 2 wires running from the starter up the firewall but im not sure.

    I'm guessing that the 2 wires to your starter, are just that. They feed power to your solenoid (starter). I'd start at the fuse block, and look for loose, or shorted wires (pinched, or laying on the engine block) in the lighting circuit. You'll probably need a tester, or multi-meter to check for continuity. It may be helpfull to start the truck, and then wiggle the individual harness' to see if you can get the engine to quit.
