Ok sweet and simple the left tail light brake light wont come on...the bulb is good, the wiring is good up to where it connects with the harness connection behind the dash. The fuel guage shows empty when the truck is full, but when i put the left blinker on, the fuel guage flashes just like a blinker would but from empty to full...and the brake light wont come on in the rear but the rear left tail light indicates and the running light works on that side... Im going crazy! Anyone with advice or knows where i can get a free copy of the wiring diagram for the truck, id much appreciate! Thanks

jancxak1: Sounds like it is time to perform an exercism of the electrical gremlins. The wiring diagram Val has directed you to, will be a lot of help. Hopefully, you will scare them off. Tony
Wow someone has done some real magic on that wiring. Sounds like the blinker circuit and the fuel guage sender wire are some how shorted. I would suspect it would be on the guage cluster cuase after that they go their seperate ways. I have posted the wiring diagrams many times but I can't find the file on my computer. If you haven't already done so purchase a 1963 Manual and then the supplement that goes with your year. It comes in handy!!! Copy the wiring diagrams and then use color pencil and trace out each wire with the correct color. It will make it 10 times easies to trace it out onder the dash this way. Inspect any home-made splice it is probably your problem or soon will be. Replace anything suspect. Butt splices work good but sodder and a heat shrink is by far the best mechanically and electrically. Additionally when I rewired my 66 the smallest wire I ran was 12AWG. It is a little overkill on some circuits but I did notice a big diffrence on my lights. They were much brighter. Now splicing a larger wire onto or in the middle of the circuit will not do anything for you. You must replace that entire circuit to make a diffrence. Good luck finding the problem. I'll try to find the wiring diagrams.
