I've been told by several to replace the points and condensor on my 230 straight six with a Pertronix electronic ignition and to upgrade the coil as well. Do I need the Pertronix Ignitor or the Ignitor II? Is a 40k coil improvement enough for easier starts and better running, or do I need the 45k coil?

i would think that the 40K would be enough i think that is more than the stock which i think is probably around 30k or so.

Let me start by saying that I am no expert on Petronix. I run a stock GM HEI in my 64. But, "I have heard", the the Petronix works best with a stock coil.
