hey guys i just got some new emblems for the hood but i noticed extra holes under. any idea what there for?
Sorry, no idea. I also have a '53. Mine doesn't have those extra holes. Also, according to the Classic Parts catalog, the correct emblem for 1953 just says '3100', no Chevrolet. Don't know if that is correct or not.
Greg, my '50 has the same holes as you are showing in that picture. The "3100" emblem goes in mine. It's possible (probable) that you have an earlier model hood.
i bought the chevy emblems knowing there for the wrong year but i can't remember if my non matching originals used those holes. since i'm spending so much money on this build i didn't think thrift master was approprate GT is it a 3100 emblem?
