    What was the orig block color of the Pontiac V8's that came in the GMC 1/2 ton?

    I wanna say 'orange'. I don't have a color code for you, and I'll probably be proved wrong, but I seem to recall pontiac V8's as orange.

    Hey mean, if you're working on a GMC, i found a cool website you might find interesting and informative. www.oldgmctrucks.com according to that site, they said that the engine blocks were crimson red between '51-'58.
