Hey guys When scrolling down the window i `ll noticed when looking from above inside the door that the inside horizontal saelrubber that the window glas passes when going up and down is worn out on both sides doors and i want to change out these to prevent water is coming in. What is the excact partname of the rubberseal ? Have an nice weekend Martinius.
Hello Martinius, If you look throught the Classic Parts catalog you will see a nice picture of them, there are also rubber strips further down on the window frame. They are inexpensive and really tighten up window rattle. Flashlight
Partsname or number please ? Flashlight In the jungle of spareparts not all are easy to recognize!! Be kind to tell me the partsname or number if you please ? Thanks Martinius.
I think from your description, you are looking for the "Beaded window seals" 03-513, pg 7. Way down in the door, inside the door is the "outer rubber seal" pg 7. The outer seal is a bear to deal with and I have not had the time to replace it as it appears you have to take the door and window units apart. A lot of work for little to gain, I should have done it when it was apart for painting. Ol' Chebby, probably has pictures of this and helpful hints for you as well. If you are really gonna do this then you may as well do the door glass channels as well. Flashlight
Parts identification ! Thank you Flashlight. Sir , the parts are as you suggested to find on page 7. I will check out the inside door status and order the parts i `ll need to use. With many thanks and a good weekend wishes Martinius.
This is where the rubber window wiper goes. It is usually dried and hard as a rock and broken off. I find that you have to bend up the tab in the middle, then with a flat blade screwdriver, break the rubber into pieces, then feed it out of the channel. Cleaned out. now lube the track. Feed one end, Then the other.. And lock the tab by bending down.
Thanks fore the clear pics. Learning by doing is my motto. Thank you for the good pictures. They discribe well how to do this job. Have an nice sunday Martinius.
