Started out as a $20 brake job, one month & $450 later, I've finally have the upgraded to rear discs. Had to change rearends, (because I couldn't remove the spider gear pin out of the old one) shorten the driveshaft and change out all the bearings along the way and removed a leaf to drop it just a bit but over all I think it looks pretty good. The discs are from a 98-02 LS1 & the rearend is an early 70's Camaro.

Looks good nice job!! But are you sure that angle for the upper shock mounts is heavy enough? It looks a little light....Big Tim

Nice work. Your shock mount should be fine since it only has the force needed to compress the shock on it, this holds true whether that same shock is on a Peterbilt or a baby buggy. If a shock bottoms out or if the mount pins get loose then a light mount will tear up sooner but as long as it's in it's working range the force on it is not that great--after all you can compress one with your hands.
