I need to lay my cab on it's back to sandblast the under side of it. I have a fork lift and a gantry to do the lifting. What is the best way to lay it on its back and is the structure strong enough to not cave in?
If your cab is completely empty, you should have no trouble laying it back on the rear surface. If I recall correctly, when I sandblasted my cab, I rolled it back myself. At most you will need one other person to help you. I did mine in the yard, no damage to the sheet metal. Chris
Cab Removal I used a lift and 2x6 through the cab where the door would be. No problem lifting. I also laid my on it’s back on a flat surface and on foam pads. No problem. I then primed and painted the bottom at that time.
