I have a 1960 fleetside long bed. I swapped the front end with a 1975 for the disc brakes and power steering. Does anyone know if I will have problems mounting the engine and transmission. The engine is a 327 and was mounted with a horseshoe mount to the front of the engine. After bolting the new crossmember in and setting the motormounts (for the 75) in place, it looks like I am going to have to add 3/4" to the top of the frame to support the mount. I don't have a problem with welding a peice of tubing to the top of the frame, I was just wondering if anyone has seen this done on a 60-62, or am I trying something that has never been done?
