front oil pan leak

I put a '74 350 SB in a '47 3100. Problem is the front oil pan gasket leaks. This is the rubber gasket that fits around the bottom of the crankshaft just behind the timing chain cover. Put in a new oil pan and the front gasket is the thicker style as recommended. Gasket is new also. Added gasket sealant when I installed everything new. Leak is much less but more than I want to see.
Any ideas or tips on how to remedy this. only have the radiator and engine in the frame so working on it is easy at this point. Would like to solve this before I put anything else together.:-( :-(

just to mention-I had an oil pan leak on my 383 stroker that was hard to fix,mostly since the biulder insisted that the pan leaked,when in fact it was the main seal that leaked.The timing inspection cover is in close proximity to the pan in the rear,and any oil that runs off the back of the pan will go into the cover-as will any oil that leaks from the main seal
