gas tank swap....

ok i have a 85 chevy scottsdale.. shortbox, and i want to put stacks on it... but my gas tank is in the way its on the left side and i am sure its a 16 gallon one... would it be possible to get one from a subarban and take off my spare tire and put it there???

Yes, it is possible. I did that with my '77 C10. Let me warn you, though, there is a bit of modifying that goes into it. It's not just a "drop in the gas tank" ordeal. I had to mod up my own brackets back there but it does fit between the frame rails alright. If you want me to show you pics i've got some detailed pics I can email you.
