I just stripped the oringinal gauges ( with the 6V lighting, steering column, 3 speed column shift lever and linkage as well as the seat frame and springs.. is this stuff worth anything ? as far as I can tell it is all factory from a 1951 3600 P/U.
Everything is valuable to someone. The trick is to hang on to them until that person needs it.....and to be able to find it then....... I try to never throw anything old away, if I can help it.
yes for sure its worth alot to people who want to keep it original! The old parts are way better then the reproduction stuff i think
I've seen all of that sold on ebay, depending on condition, it can be worthwhile to try to sell. Especially the gauges, folks need them for core refunds. The 3 on the tree if its workable will make someone happy as well.
Old Parts A "hobby" of mine is to buy old basket case trucks (1947 to 1957 Chev and GMC), strip all the parts and sell the decent stuff. I've been at this just about 10 years. The comments about the gauges as cores is correct. The seat and frame is also a good one to keep. Unless the 3 speed column parts are absolutely perfect, they aren't one that you will get much interest in. Your parts wil fetch their best price at a local swap meet or Craigslist. The seat is too expensive to ship so eBay isn't the best for it. A lot of people sell the gauge pieces on eBay, but shipping is usually as much as they get for the pieces.
Not sure . the temp line is not there, but the fitting is good (threads ok). the needle on the speedo looks like 1/2 is missing, but not sure. I can send you some pictures if you want.
