    OK, I need some help.

I just rebuilt the Delco Remy generator in my 1959 Apache 3200. I put in new brushes, springs and connectors. Once I had everything back in place, I started my truck and expected to see more that 12 volts at the battery. I saw 12 volts at the battery with the truck running and I saw 12 volts at the battery with the truck not running.

So, how do I test the generator to ensure that it really is charging the battery?

I called my local NAPA to see if they tested them. They were able to refer me to a place that would do it for me.

Search the archives. There are many post on generator, regulator testing etc... If you have a shop manual it will tell you the procedure as well :D:D

Did you "flash" the generator? Check the archives. Nate posted the procedure. It is also in the shop manual. I'm not at home now or I would post it.
