I just picked up my newest project. A 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton 5 window cab pick up truck. It needs either the original engine rebuilt or replaced. I have located a clean GM 250 6 cylinder engine with the Muncie SM 420 behind it. How is this engine for durability and would it be a good idea for my new truck? I also found a 235 6 cylinder with out the transmission. Your feedback and ideas are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Robert

Go with the 250 ~ it's a good , lightweight engine , won't last forever like a 235 but better fuel economy and still make good power to push that Muncie...
