Gonna be stupid here...........but why do you guys call these trucks "AD" trucks?

 

Not a stupid question. When GM came out with them, they were known as "Advance Design" trucks.

 

I thought it was an acronym for some attention disorder related to old trucks and many of us.

Nate's had me reelin' MANY times with his friggin' acronyms!
I had no idea what AD was either. I now throw it out there like I've used that expression all my life.
I think it's so cool that it stands for "advance design" (!) I think it should have been called KAD. (Kick Ass Design)

Occasionally you'll see a referance to a TF truck , that's the next newer series , called " Task Force " .
