I came across these 2 ol GMC 450 school buses that I think are getting ready for the heap pile, I made a deal with the Owner for a nice crack free steering wheel for My 55 pick-up, He said to just an old wheel on it so He can move it around and give Him 20.00....Good enough for Me. Both still have al thier original running gear, big 6's w/5 spd boxes.

    Parts !

Looks like a treasure trove to me ! Those are what , 1956 ? .

    Might have a L O N G 302 C.I. in one....

I'm guessing they're too rusty frame wise to be saved ? what a shame .

Looks like maybe a Clark 5 speed box in there too .

    I like the lampshade:D
the "V" dash instrument panel looks great and also the fan motors if they are 12V.
any old hotrodder would love the driver seats.
    Have fun!

Interesting, it has a Chevy dash and instrument cluster. The GMC pickups had a completely different dash and cluster than that of a Chevy. I have found that big trucks in general and fire trucks in particular have some really primo parts on them. Nearly all have the factory electric wipers and being so tall the sheet metal that will interchange with a pickup is usually not beat up. Fire trucks never spent a day of their life outside so things that the weather affects are still prime.

Yes the dash is unusal since it's a GMC, but the dash lens does say GMC at the bottom.
