I hit a deer, bent my grill, put a new grill in, didnt change anything else, now my headlights wont come on!!!!!, any suggestions yall? PLEEEEASE... g.t.
If it was at night, and most encounters with our antlered friends ARE, you may have blown the headlights out on impact.. Try changing the headlamps.. But before you do, check the grounds !!! Val
ya my headlights quit working too but it turns out they were just unplugged under the carpet. check all connections and fuses.
Yea, early(dark30) in the morning, about 14 of em crossing. looked like they were goin to school or somethin!, and yes, id hit the brakes hard...locked up the rear. since then, i have adj. my proportioning valve, AND run a big ground straight to the battery....and the lights work......at 80 bucks a pr., i was really hating to have to replace my headlights... thanks yall. HOOK 'EM BABY! g.t.
The headlight buckets should be grounded. A small wire to a local ground point behind the grill on the front sheet metal should do the trick.. Val p.s. What's with Texas and all those deers ?? !! Went to see my brother just north of Austin a few months ago and those suckers were EVERYWHERE !!!
Austin and the hill country are the worst. The liberal idiots there think they are so nice to have around. Notice that no one there has gardens, roses, nice flowers short trees, etc..... but hey makes good hunting for me.......
#1. YES!, there are that many transplants here..... #2. The 1 and only time i went in-out of Maine, i almost hit a moose/elk whatever....the damn thing just stepped over the fence and walked across the hi-way like it was a sidewalk!!!!! Needless to say, my freightliner and I were not harmed.... #3. Yall gotta get a pair of these e-code hella headlights, talk about light'n up the road!!! g.t.
