Yepper, Happy Thanksgiving to all. I love Thanksgiving because it has the important holiday 'F's: Family, friends, food, fun and of course football! Best, Tony
Especially The canoodling part....... . I just finished my second Thanksgiving feast , 1st. was ham , 2nd. was chicken , both were terrific , NO MINCE PIE tho' . No one in L.A. knows how to make it properly . Here's to another good year of health and family and hopefully , continued employment .
One of my neighbors brought over a raisen pie that was almost the same as my Grandmother use to make. Caused me to take a trip by myself in the Truck and remember those great days at my Grandparents.
Family is what it's all about! Thanksgiving 2010 was an absolute delight! SWMBO pulled off the best "Feed Bag Ever!" Both grandsons were there both granddaughters were not #1 grandson wore grandpa's butt out! He's 6 yrs old and is in to anything with wheels and a motor. Grandpa loves trains, and #1 knows all the terminology (thanks to Thomas the Train!). I've got an HO train layout and the start of an N layout. We derailed trains just like Casey Jones! #2 grandson is only 11 months, but his eyes were like silver dollars when we ran the trains! Those boys keep me young (slept like a baby last night for some reason). BTW, the numbers only represent relative age, not love thereof! What I'm I thankful for? My wonderful family, the great folks on this forum and all of the men and women serving and sacrificing in our armed forces, who have made all of this possible. Thank you all! Ken
Sounds great, Ken! I started Wednesday off with a wife and daughter who sick as dogs. Thursday, I decided to be a good dad and moved a table and TV into the bedroom so they could watch it. Less than 30 minutes later, my back had gone out as bad as that time @ two years ago! My daughters birthday started with a trip to urgent care for a steroid shot and meds. Today, I can walk again, but picking something off the floor is quite the challenge... I' am thankful for sooo much, however. You guys and this forum are right up at the top. Happy (late) Turkey day!
Mince pie ! I found some ! Not as good as Down Home but who cares . Now , it's off to drag my '76 Jimmy out fom it's secret storage place and hang a wreath on it... Maybe I'll fnd a cheap / free dog house/loo to-day .
