[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jun-01-04 AT 03:25 PM (CST)]I'm stumped, the guages in my 65 chevy c-10 are all off.
The speedo is about 10 mph higher than what I'm actually doing when under forty and who knows after that because when I'm doing 65 or seventy it shoots up to 100. The fuel guage is off like it needs to be calibrated because it sits at quarter tank when the truck isn't running, then shoots over to full when cranked. To make it worse when I'm on the freeway it just flips wildly back and forth. Is this a wiring problem, fuse block, sender unit, what? I don't know where to begin. This sucks.

If you have changed tires and rims that would be a cause for the speedo to read incorrectly. BUT, since it jumps to 100 ( I'm assuming that you are not , in fact, actually going 100 mph!) It could just be the speedo cable. Our hosts here sell them.

For the gas guage, its' most likely the sender in the tank or a bad ground somewhere in the sender wiring.
