Headed to California on the 26th of December for business... Any decent salvage yards within 75 miles of the Los Angeles area?! (Or are salvage yards just a thing of the good ol' mid-west) Hey, just had to ask. Some girls go shopping for shoes when they travel... I like to poke through salvage yards and hunt for stuff for my trucks and bikes. Also: If anyone knows of a good sushi and sake bar, I would love a recommendation on that as well. I most often end up in San Diego when I travel to CA.
DANG! All the things that you do- you also drive a G- AND love(?) sushi? Help me DG~ You know- IIRC, you'll be in Nate's part of the world??? If that's true, I have an idea of who you should see!
Wow ! I'm impressed , too bad you're not my age......sigh . a girl who rides and wrenches ! . the last one like this I met , worked in her Dad's junkyard way out in the desert , was cute and *very* interested but sadly , she was like 20 or so....... Anyway , there's scads of scrapyards in La-La Land *but* few have anything old in them anymore ~ I have to go schlepping way out into the desert to find old cars . The Sun Valley area is chock full of junkyards , Long Beach used to be too but I don't get down there much these days . There's Pick-A-Part yards scattered all around L.A. if you just like to walk the rows and see what pops up . There might be a Pomona Swap Meet , that'd be well worth your while to check out , maybe a swap @ The Long Beach Veteran's Stadium . just call either one to acsertain if they're having events , might be OnLine but I know not where . I'll be out of town at that time so I cannot offer you a cuppa or some killer pizza , sorry .
