I need to change the headlamp switch on my new truck. Looking at the parts from the host of this forum, it looks as if the retainer nut screws in to the switch.

Before I delve into the project I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the knob and shaft out of the switch. I gather the knob and shaft must come out prior to removing the switch.

    Does anyone have any insights?

    Thanks,

    Derek

As I recall, there is a small button on top of the switch that when depressed, it lets the knob come out.
