headlight dimmer rod

here is the scoop - I have an 85 one ton with tilt steering and cruise I am rebuilding the steering column from the bearing housing up and need to know what drives the headlight dimmer switch rod? Chiltons and Haynes do not show any picture anyone know of a good place to find one ASAP - Thanks in advance

The dimmer rod is pushed by a centering device kind of "d" shaped. You can get them from your local chev dealer.
