    Any thoughts on the proper material to purchase to put between the headliner and the truck roof? What I pulled off was very thin and so dried up I couldn't tell what it once might have been!

    Thanks,
    Eric

    OEM Headliner

    Eric ;

    The original stuff was very thin cardboard and it's tricky to install , plus there's an early and late version so check before you order up .

    If you look in the archives there's much good info written about how to install .

    For _certain_ , go to FLAPS or pep Boys etc. and buy some Dynamat and a Foo-Foo can of 3M spray glue and insulate the inside of the cab BEFORE you install a headliner ! you'll be very glad you did as these are noisy old beasts as built .

    I have a cloth headliner installed by the PO on my '49 , it looks wierd but works fine so I leave it .
